Body Boop and Emilie Maynor Living are thrilled to announce that The Awakening Center’s Susan Morlock, MA, LPC, has joined our lineup for NOURISH: A Body Image Conversation at City Winery Chicago on Sunday, Nov. 8! Morlock is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in Cognitive Therapy, Anxiety, Depression, and Stress and Anger Management. Her presentation will include insights on body image and an exercise to help the group heal and move forward.
The Awakening Center is an outpatient private practice that focuses on recovering your true sense of Self and learning to honor, and eventually love, the person you were meant to be. They use holistic approaches, including:
- Counseling from a Holistic Perspective
- Psychodynamic and Internal Family Systems Therapy
- Cognitive/Behavioral Interventions
- Dialectic Behavioral Therapy
- Body-centered Psychotherapy
- Somatic Experiencing
- Art Therapy
- Mindfulness Meditation
- Yoga Therapy
I sought group counseling on a drop-in basis at The Awakening Center when I was an uninsured student struggling with an eating disorder relapse. Their donation-based system allowed me to attend for free with the intention that I would support the center when I could afford to. It is such a pleasure to welcome them to our workshop this November – you are in for a remarkable presentation that will hopefully be truly transformative for you.
Sign up for NOURISH: A Body Image Conversation today! We’ll see you at City Winery Chicago on Sunday, Nov. 8.
